How often should you change your Tundra’s Oil?
Under normal driving conditions, Toyota says to change the oil every 5,000 miles or every 6 months in the 4.6 L and 5.7 L engine.
This changes if operating on dirt roads, towing, driving in cold weather, or idling for long time periods.
The Flex Fuel Tundra, however, is slightly different. If using E85 fuel more than half of the time, this will increase the need to change the oil every 2,500 miles or 3 months. If not, the oil should be changed every 5,000 miles or 6 months.
See the 2016 Tundra Maintenance Guide and 2016 Tundra FFV Maintenance Guide for more info.
