2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 Oil Type and Capacities

Chevrolet recommends that for all oil changes in the 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500, ACDelco full synthetic motor oil is used.

The 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 requires 6.0 q of 5W-30 for the 4.3 L engine and 8.5 q of 0W-20 for the 5.3 L and 6.2 L engines. See the chart below for links to products.

For the engines that use 5W-30, during extreme temperatures and operating under -20F, 0W-30 oil can be used in its place. It is important that no additives are put into the engine oil.

The 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.3 L engine requires 6.0 q of 5W-30 engine oil.
